As architects regarding the city as a complex and multi-layered phenomenon, during the past years we have been facing deep change in the way we relate to urban issues. We have learned – by doing – that knowledge and creation are becoming hybrid and diffused phenomenons, transforming traditional, closed and fixed structures, into open and flexible network structures. network thinking et apprentissage social: vers une architecture en réseau

Lorsqu’on me demande “que fais-tu dans la vie?”, après un léger moment d’hésitation je finis toujours par répondre que je suis architecte. Puis, après une deuxième hésitation, je précise que pour autant, je ne fais pas de construction, et j’explique que j’appréhende l’espace et la ville comme phénomènes complexes et pluridisciplinaires. Cette anecdote, au delà de sa dimension comique – “ce type ne sait pas ce qu’il fait” – témoigne aussi d’une évolution significative des métiers de l’architecture et de la création vers un contexte de plus en plus complexe et hybride. Les nouvelles technologies de l’information et de la communication (NTIC) ont déclenché une véritable révolution culturelle, au point de renverser les notions mêmes de connaissance et de création. Dans mes expériences professionnelles récentes, j’ai été amené à regarder de très près cette transformation.
